RACES
Royton Road Runners has a great reputation as a 'racing' club, with members regularly making up a high proportion of the field in local races.
The current record of 103 of our club members in a race was set at our own club event, The Royton Trail, in July 2015.
In addition to a competitive, 17-race annual Road Race Championship, many club members take part in marathons & ultras in the UK & abroad. In recent years we have seen growing interest in cross-country events & a number of our runners take part in local fell races. We also enter teams in club relay events a couple of times per year.
The Royton Trail, a challenging 5.5-mile multi-terrain race held every July, has grown steadily in popularity since it started in 2007.
In 2013 we introduced a new competition based at Oldham parkrun - the RRR Cup.
