As a result of COVID-19 we have endured restrictions nobody could ever have imagined. Now we are starting to see a slight lifting of the restrictions from which a new normal will be born.

The developments with respect to club membership for 2020/21 have evolved and reached a satisfactory point to update you the club membership on the next steps.

The RRR membership fee for 2020/21 will now be £27.50 - please see below for a breakdown of that amount & further details, including payment options.

As a committee we recognise the unprecedented times we find ourselves in,  but also recognise the commitments we make to both England Athletics & the Cricket Club. Thank you to everybody who has already renewed (we will be in touch with respect to next steps, given you have paid £46); for everybody else the fee of £27.50 is due by  30th June 2020.  Any membership renewals after this date will be classed as a new member with the fees set accordingly.

It is worth remembering that membership runs from 1st April 2020 through to 31st March 2021, therefore maintaining membership is key when we can race again, as it entitles you to the affiliation discount. We are of course continuing to monitor developments with respect to training & races - any changes will be aligned to the guidance from England Athletics. In the meantime I hope you are enjoying the activities we are putting together, distance challenge, quiz, virtual socials, etc to keep us together as a club.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the
RRR committee.
The Royton Road Runners 'membership year' runs from 1st April to 31st March, to ensure alignment with England Athletics & Royton Cricket Club.

As a result of the impact of COVID-19, membership renewal was temporarily suspended. We are now able to confirm that the RRR membership fee for 2020/21 will be £27.50 (reduced from the £46 agreed at the AGM in January).  The fee is broken down as follows:

  • England Athletics: the fee has been held at £15, the planned increase to £16 has been scrapped. More details can be found in this statement from EA.
  • Royton Cricket Club: we have negotiated a reduction of 50% to £12.50.
  • RRR: in recognition of the current situation, we have agreed to waive the £5 of the fee that usually goes to our club, for this year only.

Membership fees are now due by 30th June at the latest.

The easiest way to pay is via online transfer (to Sort Code 30-96-26, Account No 01306698 - please put your name & 'MEMBERSHIP' as the reference), or you can pay by cheque (payable to 'Royton Road Runners') to Jenny O'Callaghan/Diane Johnson or any member of the committee at Monday/Thursday club training nights.
