Joined Royton Road Runners in April 2014.

History: Joined Run England in September 2013 as a complete novice (although did attempt to run the 2008 & 2009 BUPA Manchester 10Ks). Progressed through Run England groups 1&2 then joined RRR.
Proudest achievement: Completing a half marathon without stopping; then again every race I do I'm still amazed at myself that I'm actually running!
Ambition: To do a marathon. Always said it wasn't for me, but I doubt I'll settle until it's completed. With a big birthday looming this was the reason I booked 2015 up with races, plus to complete 800 miles of running before my birthday in December.
Current training: Well this week, 18 miles.

Born & lived all my life in Chadderton.

Happily married to Steve for 7 years.

2 daughters Nicole & Kimberley who are currently both at Uni.
Currently working in child health for the NHS, but my working career has been very varied!

I play (well attempt to play) the euphonium in the Oldham Music Centre Adult Wind Band.

Very much a member of Chadderton Community Church.

Training route: anything with a downhill
Race/event: Cheshire Arley Hall 10K, my first official 10K as a 'runner'
Running shoe: Saucony - thanks to the parkrun prize!
Sportsman/woman: Bradley 'Wiggo' Wiggins
Film: Pretty Woman
TV: The Following
Music: Take That (2nd time around)
Food: love all sorts, especially when I've not cooked it!
Drink: brandy & Diet Coke, brandy & Baileys
Holiday destination: anywhere hot & relaxing

My mantra: "My race - my time - my speed...just keep running".
