2021-2022 CROSS-COUNTRY SEASON

Royton Road Runners is affiliated to the South East Lancs & Red Rose cross-country leagues. Cross-country races are fantastic team events, excellent value for money & a great way to help build up strength & stamina over the winter to leave you in perfect shape for next year's road race season. Races are usually around 10K for men, 8K (SEL) or 5K (Red Rose) for women, with a wide range of abilities taking part - it's definitely not just for the fastest runners!

Pre-entries for the coming winter's cross-country races are now closed!

Thanks to everyone who has signed up.


The club's main priority is the South East Lancs League, given the way the fixtures fall (see below).


The opening 2 Red Rose League races are unfortunately on the same weekend as RRR club championship events, but we have still decided to take part as a club. We know that some club members will choose to prioritise cross-country, while a few hardy souls will happily race twice in the same weekend.
