2020-2021 CROSS-COUNTRY SEASON

There are unlikely to be any cross-country races this winter.

The South East Lancs League has already confirmed that all races have been cancelled & the Red Rose League - whose races all normally take place before Christmas - has stated that "our feeling at this stage is that we will be unable to stage any fixtures this year".

The RRR committee will monitor announcements from other local cross-country competitions - if any races are to be staged & RRR can take part then we will announce it here & on the RRR Facebook page.

Royton Road Runners usually affiliates to the South East Lancs & Red Rose cross-country leagues. Cross-country races are fantastic team events, excellent value for money & a great way to help build up strength & stamina over the winter to leave you in perfect shape for next year's road race season. Races are usually around 8K (SEL) & 5K (Red Rose) for women, 10K for men, with a wide range of abilities taking part - it's definitely not just for the fastest runners!
