RRR TRAINING GROUP: 6:30 - 7:30 MINS/MILE (APPROX 44-MINUTE 10K PACE)
The aim is to push ourselves at a pace between 6:30-7:30 minute miles, subject to the terrain & the general mood of the group. Nobody will get left behind as one the group leaders will hold back, but without discouraging the runners at the front of the pack. Group leaders will always have a route planned, usually between 7-9 miles, which may vary in difficulty.
Between the end of September & early April we run a variety of challenging road routes, but as soon as the lighter evenings kick in we try our hardest to take full advantage of the fantastic varied off-road trails around Tandle Hills & beyond.
Usually we may head out with the 7:30-8:30min/mile pace group, running the same route but with the aim of breaking away at a faster pace, or adding an extra loop to extend the distance run. Running the same route allows anyone who joins us the option of dropping back to the other group if they wish.
