DAN YARWOOD - PROFILE

Joined Royton Road Runners in June 2013.

THE SPORTSMAN...
History: I've been running since 2012. Started after seeing the Great Manchester Run & thinking "Can I do that?" Gave it a go, found I liked it, 4 months later did the Great Yorkshire Run & have never looked back. Said I'd never do a marathon as the training would take up too much time... completed my first marathon at Chester in 2013 after crashing spectacularly into the 'wall' at 23 miles. Never going to do an ultra...
Proudest achievement: Running back in at the Mad Dog 10K 2015 with my wife Janet, as she completed her first 10K race.
Ambition: Keep running, keep enjoying running.
Current training: 5-6 times around 40 miles a week.

AWAY FROM RUNNING...
