THE SPORTSMAN...
History: First marathon at 18, I've been running for 30 years.
Proudest achievement: Completing the London Marathon 12 months after being diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic (not the type that fat people get!) & told my distance running days may be over.
Ambition: To be able to run long races once again - back problems won't really allow this at the moment. 
Current training: Around 12 miles per week.

AWAY FROM RUNNING...
Originally from Bolton.
Wife & two children.
Work as a Stadium Safety Officer.
Do a bit of triathlon & duathlon, recently completed my first mountain bike race.
