About Us
Royton Road Runners was formed in 2003 with 27 founder members. 10 runners braved a snowy February night for the first club run from Royton Cricket Club.
After the Amateur Athletics Association accepted us as an affiliated club on 18th July 2003, club colours were officially worn for the first time in that year's Tour of Tameside. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength, now boasting more than 80 first claim members & an annual trail race.
For club runs we meet at Royton Cricket Club (The Paddock, Bransdale Avenue, Royton, Oldham OL2 5TX) every Monday & Thursday night at 6.45pm. For more information, go to the 'Contact Us' page. Runners aged 18 & over of all standards are welcome, from first timers through to serious competitors!
